  • Instructional Supports

    Students will have opportunities for both individual and small group instruction during the school day. After-school programming will also be made available for students in either a virtual or hybrid instructional model.

    Whether remotely or in person, the school counselor on each of our campuses will be available to provide social-emotional support to students. Elementary students will have elements built into their classes. Secondary students will have strategies immersed throughout content areas.

  • Learning Technology

    Students will continue using CSD Chromebooks they received in the spring. Chromebooks and wifi hotspots for new students that have been identified as having little to no internet access will be distributed in the coming weeks. CSD’s initiative with community partners will continue to provide low- or no-cost Internet access to families.

  • Remote Learning Meal Program

    With schools transitioning to remote learning, the Christina School District Child Nutrition Services Department understands the importance of continuing to feed our students. A dual meal distribution plan, bus delivery and curbside pickup, will be utilized during remote learning. A lunch meal and breakfast meal for the next day will be distributed to each student. Students’ enrollment will be verified and applicable meal charges applied daily to cafeteria accounts for all paid and reduced price students.

  • Parent Support Center

    CSD will have a new Parent Support Center starting on August 31 to assist families with navigating the aspects of remote learning or accessing instructional packets and tech support and other needs. Families can access the Parent Support Center online or by calling 302-552-2632.

    Staff will participate in a series of professional development sessions to help them with reopening and provide strategies for supporting students.

    All CSD employees have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which offers face-to-face and virtual counseling services accessible through our staff portal.
