    • little-girl-writing-notebook-while-wearing-medical-mask Students and staff are to complete the home health survey each morning prior to the start of school.

    • Face coverings are required for all staff and students.  Face coverings must be worn on the bus and throughout the school building as directed.   Please see your program leader or building principal for those students who need special consideration for this policy.

    • Physical distancing guidelines will be followed with 6′ separation and/or at least 3′ separation in classrooms with face coverings. 

    • All classrooms are equipped with personal protective equipment such as hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, tissues, face shields (for adults) and gloves.  Every student should bring their own mask each day.   Please see your program leader or building principal if you need assistance with obtaining a mask.

    • Cleaning supplies to sanitize work areas and materials will be available for each classroom.

    • There will be one student per seat on all school bus routes Capacity has been determined to comply with social distancing guidelines.  To promote good health and safety practices, students must ride the bus on the day they are assigned ONLY.  Students should not attempt to board the bus on a day outside of their designated Cohort.  

    • All meals will be packaged as “grab and go.”   All meals will be eaten in the classroom.   Secondary students will have a meal prepared for them to take home each day. 

    • There will be no volunteers permitted in school buildings during the hybrid return.   Essential visitors must make an appointment with the school office.

    • Lockers will not be in use during the hybrid return.

    • One-way traffic will be strongly encouraged and enforced by signage in all school buildings.

    • There will be no field trips scheduled during the hybrid return.

    • There will be no large group school activities, unless social distancing can be maintained. At the indentified time all extracurricular committees and groups must submit a safety plan to their building leader for approval. 

    • On September 17, 2020, The State Board of Education, voted to approve fall athletics.  A comprehensive Return to Athletics Plan has been established and vetted by the Delaware Division of Public Health.  That document can be found here.   All procedures related to sports will be communicated by the building leaders and/or athletic directors in your school.
