Child Nutrition Services

We believe nutrition influences a student's development, lifelong health status, and potential for learning.

Child Nutrition Services (CNS) of the Christina School District is committed to providing well-balanced meals that contribute to the health and well-being of our students. CNS provides breakfast and lunch in all K-12 buildings in the Christina School District.

The program is managed in accordance with the National School Lunch Act, policies established by the Christina School District Board of Education, the Department of Health, and the Delaware Department of Education. Part of the program is the approval of meal benefit forms for free and reduced-price school meals.

Announcements

For students who have food allergies, it is extremely important that you notify your school nurse and provide necessary  documentation before their return to school.  If you have any questions about what you need to provide, please contact your school nurse as soon as possible.

All students in the Christina School District will receive free breakfast and lunch each day this school year. Every student, regardless of family income level, in every district school building will receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge each day.

Awards & Distinctions

The Christina School District is proud to have an award-winning Child Nutrition Services Department. Our CNS team has been the most dedicated in providing healthy and delicious meals to students every day.
