Teaching & Learning

Welcome to the Office of Teaching and Learning!

The Office of Teaching and Learning facilitates the curriculum and instruction for K-12 programming in all core subjects. The focus is to ensure that all curriculum is aligned to the State of Delaware standards and that all students are prepared for high school graduation and post-secondary education

Academics & Curriculum

Like any other successful school system, the Christina School District recognizes the importance of maintaining a strong and responsive curriculum.

Credit Recovery

The Christina School District Credit Recovery Program is a collaborative effort between the Christina Adult Education Program and the Office of Teaching and Learning that provides students with a second attempt at earning credits.

Graduation Requirements

The State of Delaware requires all students complete a minimum of 24 credits to graduate; however, the Christina School District requires 26 credits for graduation.

Report Cards & Standards

Christina School District has adopted a standards-based grading approach for students in kindergarten through grade 5.

Work-Based Learning

Work-Based Learning empowers high school seniors by connecting them with local businesses and industries, offering invaluable real-world experiences that enhance and complement their classroom education.
