Principal's Message

  • Principal Amy Selheimer Dear Marshall Community,

    Welcome back to school!

The 2019-2020 school year is upon us! Welcome back to our staff, students, and families. Marshall is the place to be! I am very excited and honored to work with such a dedicated community centered on learning as the Principal of Marshall Elementary. We are happy to have our Assistant Principal, Mr. Alvin Pope with us as part of our Marshall Family.

Marshall takes pride in the achievement of our hard working students and community which is evident in the academic performance. This year we're implementing The Leader In Me Program which focuses on the 7 Habits of highly effective people. The principle centers on leadership in the areas of academics, culture and climate.

As the new year starts, teachers are excited to continue with our Math Curriculum called Bridges. Parent letters will be sent home at the beginning of the year to explain the program. And you’ll hear a lot more about it at Open House in mid-September.

We continue to set high expectations and strive for improving all students by pushing them to excel every day in every lesson to their maximum ability. If you would like to volunteer in school volunteer information and applications will be available at open house night. All parents who volunteer in school or attend a field trip need to complete this application. Contact your teacher for volunteer opportunities specific to the classroom. We are always looking for mentors for our mentoring program and for parents willing to work with students one-on-one or in small groups to tutor and help with individual skills. Stop in the office or send an email to Mrs. Selheimer. We look forward to a fabulous year! Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions, concerns, feedback, or simply just to say hi! I look forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming Open House sessions.

    Thank you.

    Mrs. Selheimer, Interim Principal
