If your child will turn 5 years old by August 31, it’s time to register for kindergarten!

Welcome to the Christina School District! We’re happy you chose our kindergarten program to begin your child’s learning journey. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where your little one can learn, grow, and thrive.

Register early to help your child have a great start to school. We also offer bilingual support to assist your family. We can’t wait to see your child grow and learn with us.

How to Register

1. Identify Your School

2. Gather Required Documents

Important Notice: Registration Document Requirements

To help expedite the completion of your Online Registration, please ensure all required registration documents are ready to upload during the online registration process. These documents include:

- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residency
- Legal Photo ID
- Current Immunization Records
- TB Screening
- Lead Screening (for Kindergarten only)
- Physical Exam
- IEP/504 Plan (if applicable)
- Most recent report card (if applicable)

It is essential to upload these documents at the time of registration, as you will not have the opportunity to log in at a later time to add them. Failure to provide the necessary documents during registration will require you to make alternative arrangements with the school to submit them.

Additional forms and information may be required for registration.

3. Register Online or In-Person

New Families:

Once you have all your documents from Step 2, complete the New Family Registration Online or visit the school you identified in Step 1 to register.
In-person registration is by appointment only.

Current Families:

Once you have all your documents from Step 2, complete your registration through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal

Delaware School Choice: Parents residing within Delaware may enroll their child in a public school in any school district regardless of the student's home address. If you would like your child to attend a school other than your assigned school, you must apply for Delaware School Choice.

Transportation Notice: Parents choosing to send their child to a school other than their assigned school are responsible for transportation to/from the choice school or the nearest regular bus stop for the choice school, if space is available.

Spanish Immersion

We are excited to offer two-way Spanish Immersion as a part of our Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program at Oberle Elementary School in Bear, DE. The Spanish Immersion Program launched in Fall 2022 at the kindergarten level with two cohorts. Additional cohorts are added at the next grade level each year as students progress.
