Nominate Your Favorite Behavioral Health Professional

Behavioral Health Professional of the Year

The Christina School District is seeking nominations for the 2022-2023 Behavioral Health Professional of the Year. Any member of our community may nominate any Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) who works in our schools or administration office who offer services for the purpose of improving an individual’s mental health. Nominees should be skillful and dedicated behavioral health professionals employed full-time by the Christina School District.

To be eligible as a nominee, the candidate must:

  • Be a school counselor, social worker, licensed clinical social worker, school psychologist, or school nurse
  • Have at least three years’ experience as a behavioral health professional (the experience is not required to be in the same district/school or position);
  • Hold a certification or licensure credential through the Department of Education and/or the Professional Regulation Board;
  • Continue to serve in a behavioral health position for the award year;
  • Must be a full-time employee with Christina School District and not an employee of a contracted vendor.

A committee will select an eligible employee to represent Christina School District as its Behavioral Health Professional of the Year. This employee will also be in the running to be named the State Behavior Health Professional of the Year by the Delaware Department of Education. The State Behavior Health Professional of the Year will be announced in late May or early June.

The nomination period is open until April 25, 2022.

We look forward to receiving your nominations!
