Evans Retires from Christina School District Board
George Evans, Esq. recently retired from the board of education at Christina School District after 37 years, leaving a legacy of compassionate service.
During the July Board of Education meeting, the Christina School District virtually presented Evans with a plaque with the inscription:
In honor and deep appreciation of the distinguished 37 years of service given to the Christina School District while serving as an outstanding member of the Board of Education. Your genuine concern for the education of our students in the Christina School District will be remembered, always.
Evans served on the Christina Board of Education from January 1981 to June 2020. He was re-elected to the District A seat in October 2012, and again in May 2015. He has served as both President and Vice President of the Board numerous times and has also held leadership roles for the Delaware School Boards Association (DSBA) and the DSBA Executive Committee.
