Seniors, please take note of the following dates for graduation practice, cap and gown distribution, and awards ceremony and also be aware of some other deadlines we have identified for you.
May 28 – Last day for seniors and last day to turn in work or assignments.
May 28 - Chromebook and other materials collection – details on the timing will be shared closer to this date.
June 2 – Graduation practice and Cap and Gown distribution 9:00 am – 11:00am
June 2 – Senior awards ceremony 6:30pm – only seniors receiving awards will be invited with family members.
June 3 – Graduation practice and ticket distribution 9:00 am – 11:00 am
June 4 – potential rain date for practice
June 7 – NHS Graduation 6:00 pm ceremony start – Graduates must arrive at Glasgow High School by 5:00 pm.
Graduation practice is mandatory if you plan on participating in the graduation ceremony. If you need transportation to school on those days, please email Mrs. Reggio directly and we can provide DART passes. Everyone else must make arrangements for a ride to and from school at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. No students will be allowed to remain on campus after 11:00 am.
Failure to attend practice will cause us to pull your name from the graduation ceremony. If you have a special circumstance, you must get approval from Mrs. Reggio prior to June 2.
Practice will take place at Newark High School. We will start in the auditorium and then practice walking out to the field.
At this point, cap and gown orders should be complete. If you have not ordered a cap and gown and you plan on participating, you must go to jostens.com to order immediately. If the order is not received and processed on time, it will not arrive to school in time for the distribution day. All caps and gowns are sent directly to the school by Jostens.
Unmet lists will be posted on Schoology over the next few weeks. Be sure to check these lists regularly to make sure you know what is outstanding. Students who do not clear unmets will not be given graduation tickets.
