It is a common misconception that families of children with varying hearing levels must choose a single language with which to communicate and learn. DSD provides a safe and supportive learning environment for our state's students who are deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf blind, in order to set the foundation for linguistic competence in both American Sign Language and English.
