Dr. Kalia Reynolds
Kalia Reynolds, Ed.D.
Dr. Kalia Reynolds is the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the West Chester Area School District in Exton, PA, where she assumed her role in 2021. Dr. Reynolds is dedicated to realizing the district's mission of "educating and inspiring students to achieve their personal best," fostering a culture where all stakeholders are encouraged to "See, Smile, and Succeed." Prior to her tenure in West Chester, Dr. Reynolds served as the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in the Appoquinimink School District in Middletown, Delaware. With over two decades of experience, her extensive educational journey includes roles as a special education teacher, assistant principal, an award-winning principal of a National Blue Ribbon School, and an elementary director.
Dr. Reynolds holds a doctorate degree in educational leadership from the University of Delaware, a Master's degree in counseling psychology from Temple University, and she completed her undergraduate studies in special education and psychology at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. In addition to her role as Co-Founder of Ebb+ Flow, Kalia works to expand her leadership and impact.
Currently, Dr. Reynolds serves as an adjunct professor at Delaware State University. She is a member of several esteemed professional cohorts and organizations, including the Education Policy Leadership Cohort (EPLC) UPenn Emerging Catalysts of Color, AASA Aspiring Female Superintendent Academy, Corwin National PLC, and more. Dr. Reynolds is passionate about teaching, learning, and leadership development; she has served as a mentor principal for the Delaware Leadership Project and contributed to educational initiatives as a member of the University of Delaware Clinical Studies Advisory Board. Her commitment to advancing education is further evidenced by her involvement as a former board member for the Delaware Principals Academy and her participation as a presenter and teaching fellow at the Harvard University Data Wise Institute.
