2024 Commencement Exercise Information

The Christina School District is pleased to announce its schedule of commencement events taking place in person during May and June.  We want to make sure you know all of the details so your big day is not only safe but also a success!  We look forward to recognizing the achievements of our graduating seniors.

Ceremony Dates

  • May 10, 11:45 AM - Networks School for Employability Skills Recognition Ceremony - Aetna Hose, Hook, & Ladder Co. Banquet Hall, 410 Ogletown Road, Newark, DE 19711

  • June 6, 6 PM - DE School for the Deaf (DSD) - DSD Auditorium, 630 E. Chestnut Hill Road, Newark, DE

  • June 7, 4 PM - Brennen School - Christiana HS Auditorium, 190 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE

  • June 7, 6 PM - Christina Adult Education & Literacy Program / Groves Adult Education – Glasgow HS Auditorium, 1901 S. College Avenue, Newark, DE

  • June 9, 10 AM-7:30 PM - High School Graduations - Chase Field House, 401 Garasches Lane, Wilmington, DE 19801
    • 10:00 AM - Newark High School
    • 1:30 PM - Christiana High School
    • 5:00 PM - Glasgow High School

  • August 15, 6:00 PM - Summer Graduation - Delaware School for the Deaf Auditorium, 630 E. Chestnut Hill Rd, Newark, DE 


Entrance Requirements for Events at the Chase Fieldhouse

  • Tickets Required. All attendees must have a ticket to attend. Each graduate will receive eight (8) tickets to provide to family and friends.  There is a no re-entry policy. Once your ticket is torn, you will not be able to re-enter if you leave the arena.

  • Concessions: Concessions will be available during all ceremonies at the Chase Fieldhouse. Outside food and drink are not allowed.

  • Accessible Seating: All venues are ADA-accessible.  Accessible seats are available for individuals with disabilities and a companion.

  • Security Screening: Security will be in place for the Commencement ceremonies at the Chase Fieldhouse. Security personnel will be at the venue entrance and conduct a security screening.  We reserve the right to deny admittance to any individual.

  • No Smoking, Vaping, Electronic Smoking Devices: Please note that smoking or use of tobacco products is not permitted anywhere on Christina School District or Chase Fieldhouse campuses.

  • Prohibited Items: To help make the ceremony enjoyable for all, the items listed below are not allowed.  These items will be confiscated and will NOT be returned.

    • Balloons
    • Umbrellas
    • Noisemakers
    • Bags/Backpacks
    • All bags smaller than 16" x 16" x 8" are permitted into the stadium.  Backpacks are prohibited in Delaware Stadiums.  Bags and containers are subject to inspection by gate security prior to entering the facilities.  Hard-sided coolers and bags with metal frames are not allowed.
    • Alcoholic Beverages
    • Animals (except service animals)
    • Coolers / ice chests / thermoses
    • Footballs / Athletic Equipment
    • Strollers
    • Outside food or drink
    • Open Containers
    • Bottles / cans
    • Weapons / firearms
    • Backpacks
