New Preschool Opening at Neighborhood House

Christina School District is thrilled to announce the opening of a new preschool that will serve families in Southbridge.

This new initiative, in partnership with the Neighborhood House, is part of our shared commitment to provide a high-quality education that helps children develop the skills they need to succeed in school and life.

By expanding its preschool offerings to include a developmentally appropriate preschool program for children ages 3 and 4 in Southbridge, the Stubbs Early Childhood Assistance Program (ECAP) at the Neighborhood House will offer a safe, healthy learning environment for children, along with opportunities for family involvement.

Hosted in a dedicated classroom at Neighborhood House, the full-day preschool program will offer:

  • Free breakfast, lunch, and snacks
  • Small class sizes
  • Positive, warm interactions between adults and children
  • Free developmental screening for children ages birth-age 5

While eligible children attend for free, space is limited. We encourage you to enroll your child as soon as possible.

To mark the occasion of the preschool opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 16, at 9 AM. We look forward to welcoming Governor John Carney, State Senator Darius Brown, and State Representative Franklin Cooke, Jr., to that event.
