Wilson Elementary Wins National Poster Contest

Addison's Poster  2020 National Children's Dental Health Month Poster Contest

Addison Righter was named as the overall winner for the 2020 National Children's Dental Health Month Poster Contest. The month of February is National Children's Dental Health Month (NCDHM), and the 3rd graders at Wilson Elementary School participated in the poster contest along with other 3rd graders throughout the state. In addition to Addison's award, bookmarks of her winning poster will be presented to the school.

This national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated professionals, healthcare providers, and educators to promote the benefits of good oral health to children, their caregivers, teachers and many others.

This year’s NCDHM campaign slogan, “Fluoride in water prevents cavities! Get it from the tap!”

NCDHM messages reach millions of people in communities across the country and at numerous armed service bases.  Local observances often include poster, coloring and essay contests, health fairs, free dental screenings, museum exhibits, classroom presentations and dental office tours.

Congratulations, Addison!
