Two Christina School District visual art teachers were honored at the “M.U.S.E” awards, an annual awards banquet presented by the Delaware Art Education Association (DAEA) to celebrate Artistic Visionaries in visual art education in Delaware. Award winners share the MUSE characteristics: Masterful, Unique, Strong Educators!
DAEA named Newark High School art teacher Jaime Moore the 2021 High School Level Art Educator of the Year. This award honors outstanding DAEA members who share the MUSE characteristics and spend at least 51% of their job in their division for outstanding service, achievement, and significance during previous years.
Christina Visual Art Chair and (former Christiana High School art teacher) Bobby Graham was awarded the 2021 Howard Pyle Award of Excellence. TheDAEA Board reserves this honor to celebrate a Delaware art educator whose passion for teaching embodies Howard Pyle’s spirit and has demonstrated excellence in art education.
