COVID-19 Protocol Update
Good afternoon Christina Students, Parents and Staff!
On Tuesday, June 15th Governor Carney announced the following modifications for schools:
- When students are not present, staff can remove their masks.
- When outside, students and staff will not be required to wear masks.
We acknowledge this new guidance creates questions for Christina’s expectations.
Beginning June 16th, the following Health and Safety Protocols will be in place in Christina School District when STUDENTS are NOT in the building.
Face Covering Requirements - When students are NOT present in the building
- Staff may remove their face covering while on Christina property.
- Staff who are not vaccinated are encouraged to wear a face covering when around others.
NOTE: Expectations around social distancing remain unchanged.
As a district, Christina continues to encourage employees to participate in the COVID-19 Vaccination Program. Employees who have questions or concerns regarding the COVID-19 Vaccine Program are encouraged to discuss their individual circumstances with their primary care physician.
When students are not present in the building, the decision to wear a face covering is a personal decision. Employees who are vaccinated may elect to wear a face covering based on their individual circumstances. Employees who are not vaccinated are encouraged to continue to wear a face covering. We ask everyone to show each other respect and courtesy when interacting with each other and talking about these topics.
Note: Guidance regarding summer programming will be forthcoming.
Please continue to monitor your district email for important COVID-19 updates.
