VIDEO: Christiana Viking Marching Band Receives Superior at New Castle County Band Festival

On the evening of November 9th, the Christiana High School Marching Band performed their best show of the season. The band received an overall rating of superior for the festival, which is the highest rating given at the festival. This is the 10th year that the CHS Marching Band received a superior rating at the New Castle County Band Festival. “I am particularly proud of this band”, said Mr. Dombchik, “We not only had many new members to the CHS Marching Band, but many of the members had never played an instrument or spun a flag prior to August. It made it even more special knowing that this band had to work really hard to pull off the level of performance they did on Saturday night. The students were really excited when they came off the field.” The crowd of 1,000 spectators were cheering during the entire show. It is a performance that every member of the Viking Band will remember for years to come. The CHS band parents and marching staff are proud of your accomplishments. Congratulations on another great season!
