Traveling Art Exhibit to Feature Newark High Student Artwork
Artwork created by ten Newark High School students has been selected to appear in the Pacem in Terris Traveling Peace Youth Art Exhibition. The exhibit, which is expected to attract more than 200,000 visitors, will feature multiple sets of the students' framed, original artwork from November 2019 to April 2020 at various locations throughout the State of Delaware.
Two students, Dajure Ebron and Mia Nixon, were selected to have their artwork featured in the Pacem in Terris Cards for Peace, a set of 10 greeting cards featuring artworks from the Youth Peace Art Exhibition and Traveling Peace exhibitions. A caption by the artists accompanies each image explaining their work.
The artwork will travel to Nemours A. I. duPont Hospital for Children, Legislative Hall in Dover, The Grand, University of Delaware, Family Court in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties, Libraries in Wilmington, Bear, Brandywine, and Hockessin, Congregation Beth Emeth and numerous other galleries.
Join us in congratulating these student-artists!
