Oberle Elementary School Nurse Lisa Conover Named Christina School District Nurse of the Year for 2020-2021!

Lisa was selected from an outstanding pool of school nurses for this important recognition. Congratulations to Lisa for this outstanding honor!

 Lisa Conover M.Ed., RN, NCSN, school nurse at Oberle Elementary School, has been named the 2020-2021 Christina School District Nurse of the Year!  Lisa got a surprise this afternoon when Superintendent Richard Gregg, Oberle Elementary School Principal Marilyn Dollard, and District Lead Nurse Karen Kleinschmidt made a surprise appearance in the nurse’s office to announce that Lisa had been chosen as the Christina School District Nurse of the Year! Also pictured are CSD Public Information Officer Alva Mobley and University of Delaware Student Nurse Skylar Krismann.

Lisa is a University of Delaware alumna (BSN) with a Master of Education in School Health from West Chester University. Her nursing career spans over four decades, with the last 25 years devoted to pediatric nursing.  Lisa has been a school nurse for the past 10 years and the full time school nurse at Oberle Elementary School since the fall of 2013.  Currently, she serves as the Lead School Nurse Mentor for CSD, Basic Needs Closet Coordinator for Oberle, health expert on the Oberle Emergency Response Team, and preceptor for nursing students from Del Tech and the University of Delaware.  Lisa is a certified Basic Life Support instructor and volunteers to teach CPR to district employees.  Lisa is also an active member of Delaware School Nurse Association (DSNA), serving on the education committee for four years, and is running for DSNA Treasurer.
