It's Read Across America Day and National Reading Month

 

Read Across America Day Banner March is designated as National Reading Month - a month to motivate us to read every day. Reading is fun and has many benefits, regardless of your age. It's a key component of education and professional development. It also has immediate and long-lasting health benefits such as increased cognitive function, memory, vocabulary, empathy and decreased stress levels.

The Bayard School recently featured local child author Che’ Willis, Jr. reading his book entitled “The Amazing Wethead’s First Adventure: The Jewelry Store Heist.” Che’s book has been translated into Spanish, and a coloring book is in the works. Local child author Che' Willis, Jr. reading his book
