The Christina School District offers 18 different Career and Technical Education Pathway opportunities for our high school students.  These pathways include programs such as the Finance Academy, K-12 Teacher Academy, Engineering, Allied Health, Agriscience, and many more.  New for 2024-2025 is the Emergency Medical Services Pathway which will be offered at Newark High School. This pathway will prepare students for a career in out-of-hospital emergency medical care and transportation of critical and emergent patients.

Teaching & Learning Objectives 1 and 4 of the Strategic Plan address the District’s beliefs in the qualities of a Christina graduate, as well as, increasing exposure, alignment, and access to career and technical education pathways.  The District’s long-term strategic goal is to ensure all students have an opportunity to complete a rigorous and relevant career and technical pathway, earn college credit via dual enrollment, earn an industry credential, and have the opportunity to participate in a structured work-based learning opportunity such as an internship or cooperative work experience.  Additionally, we believe participation in their Career and Technical Education Student Associations, such as, BPA, FFA, HOSA, TSA, and Educators Rising provide students with rich experiences that enhance their learning.  It’s these experiences that will provide our students with the tools they need to succeed upon graduation.
