February 6, 2025 - Smith Elementary School was the New Castle County winner in the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) "Name That Plow" contest. The imaginative and engaging names put forth by elementary school students throughout Delaware reflect their creativity and recognition of the hard work done by DelDOT’s snowplow operators and technicians. Name That Plow Contest

2025 marks the fourth year of the "Name That Plow" contest, which encourages K-5 students to honor DelDOT’s snow removal teams. The snowplow operators and technicians that plow the roads play a vital role in maintaining safer road conditions for all during winter weather events.
