Become a Volunteer

  • Thank you for considering volunteer opportunities with the Christina School District. Volunteers play an important role in the success of our District and schools.

It is Christina School District policy (CSD Policy 03.11) that all volunteers be thoroughly screened before volunteering in any Christina School District school. If you plan to volunteer at any time during the school year, please complete the appropriate forms linked below and return them to the school of your choice. The forms authorize the school district to complete a thorough background screening of prospective volunteers. Please understand this process is for the safety and protection of all students and staff while on school grounds and school-sponsored field trips.

All prospective volunteers must also have a criminal background check completed via the Delaware State Police fingerprinting process. Once you've received written notice from Delaware State Police that your background is clear, please bring a copy of the written notice to the school.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact us.  Again, thank you for considering volunteer opportunities with the Christina School District.

In addition to the forms above, Delaware child abuse and neglect checks must be requested through the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families (DSCYF), Child Protection Registry Request Web Portal.

Individuals need to download and complete the consent form found on the CPR Portal homepage, then register on the CPR Portal to submit a CPR request and obtain their completed CPR results. You should only register one time unless advised otherwise by DSCYF staff.
