How to Register

1. Identify Your School
- Use the online School Locator Search to locate your assigned school district and local elementary, middle or high school.
- Even if you decide to participate in the School Choice program, you will need to register with your assigned school first.

2. Gather Documents
You will need to gather several documents before you can enroll your child. Please see the list of required documents below.

- Birth Certificate (original or clear copy)
- Current Immunization Records
- Proof of Residence - Full-page of a current utility bill, current signed and dated lease or signed and dated closing disclosure
- Picture ID
- Guardianship / Custody Agreement (if applicable)
- Birth Certificate (original or clear copy)

3. Register Online or In-Person
Once you have all your documents from Step 2, complete your registration online or visit the school you identified in Step 1 to register.
In-person registration is by appointment only.

Parents residing within Delaware may enroll their child in a public school in any school district regardless of the student's home address. If you would like your child to attend a school other than your assigned school, you must apply for Delaware School Choice.
Transportation Notice: Parents choosing to send their child to a school other than their assigned school are responsible for transportation to/from the choice school or the nearest regular bus stop for the choice school, if space is available.
