Donna Smith, a paraprofessional at Shue-Medill Middle School, has added another prestigious title to her name. Fresh from being named the 2024-2025 Paraprofessional Employee Champion of the Year, Donna has now been recognized as Christina School District’s 2024-2025 Educational Support Professional of the Year!

Donna is the epitome of dedication and selflessness, always ready to lend a helping hand and go above and beyond her duties. With a can-do attitude and a willingness to take on any challenge, Donna consistently exceeds expectations, often volunteering her time and expertise without being asked. The Delaware State Educational Support Professional of the Year (ESPOY) program, administered by the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE), recognizes exceptional service by school employees who make a direct or indirect impact on students and their families.
