The Special Olympics Green Team from Networks School for Employability Skills has been honored with the Dick Nolan Sportsmanship Award at the Annual Competition. Traditionally presented at the end of the basketball tournament to the team embodying the true spirit of the game, this year marks a new chapter as Special Olympics now recognizes a team that exemplifies sportsmanship throughout the entire season. The award, established in memory of the late Dick Nolan, a beloved Special Olympics Delaware board member known for his love of family, kind heart, gentle soul, and wise counsel made him invaluable to the growth and impact of Special Olympics across the state.
