The staff at Shue-Medill have developed a comprehensive framework designed to aid students who are experiencing trauma. Trauma advocates at Shue-Medill are pursuing transformation to realize their implementation objectives.

Compassionate Champion Award
The Compassionate Champion Award is a trauma-informed care recognition program to highlight outstanding achievement by individuals and organizations that provide trauma-informed services. This award recognizes individuals or teams in government, non-profit and private organizations, first responder professions, education, and other agencies that have taken steps toward providing services in a manner consistent with trauma-informed care criteria and outlines of best practices.
