Counseling

  • The counseling program is structured in such a way to differentiate the needs of our Brader students. The counseling groups will consist of anger management, friendship/bullying, impulsivity, attendance, self-esteem, grief, family changes,  and social skills. The program is focusing on one specific skill every six weeks with continued reinforcements.  If you feel your child would benefit from working with the school counselor in a specific skills-based group, then please contact Dr. Ridgeway for a counseling consent form.

    Vision

Brader Elementary School Counseling's vision is to encourage students to become actively engaged in the learning process while accepting responsibility for their choices and actions. Educators and families will work together to ensure that all students have the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve academic, social-emotional, and career success to reach their fullest potential to pursue higher education or a career as a successful adult.

    Mission

The mission of the school counseling program is to provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program that will educate the students to become self-sufficient learners in their classroom and at home. The students will be presented with the skills needed to grow in their academic, career, and social-emotional domains. Lastly, with the help from administrators, teachers, parents, and the community, the school counselor will be able to help our students realize his or her full potential in order to become a responsible, problem solving, lifelong learner.
