Title IX Training Required for All Full-Time Staff and Contract Employees
Title IX Training Required for All Full-Time Staff and Contract Employees
Christina School District Full-time and Contract Employees:
On April 19, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education released new Title IX regulations. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), 20 U.S.C. §1681 et seq., is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities. All public schools, like Christina School District (“the District”), that receive any Federal funds must comply with Title IX.
All employees are now required to be trained on the District’s obligation to address sex discrimination in its education program or activity, the scope of conduct that constitutes sex discrimination under Title IX, including the definition of “sex-based harassment,” and all applicable notification and information requirements.
Please check your Christina School District email to learn how and when to complete the training. The notification was sent via email from LaTasha Johnson on June 11, 2024, at 1:19 PM.
