Christina School District has rolled out an exciting new teacher leader opportunity aimed at boosting staff retention across all our schools. This ‘Recruitment and Retention Action Team’ has been hard at work creating a sense of belonging and welcoming atmosphere that encourages staff to connect, show appreciation and gratitude, and create a positive onboarding experience for new staff. Imagine brightening up your workweek with fun activities that bring everyone together—from school-wide book clubs, positive emails, and thank-you messages in your mailbox to casual coffee chats in the staff lounge, morning meditation sessions and staff “shout-outs”. These teacher leaders know that a little appreciation and camaraderie goes a long way, especially when it comes to welcoming new members into the fold and making them feel right at home.

With this initiative, Christina is not just filling positions; we’re building a vibrant community where everyone feels valued and connected. So, let’s get together, share some laughs, and strengthen those bonds that make our schools feel like a second home!
