WELCOME to the Stubbs Early Education Center, where our commitment to nurturing every child and fostering a vibrant community shines through in all we do. I am honored to serve as your PROUD PRINCIPAL of a school community that is not only dedicated to the growth and success of our youngest learners but also deeply connected to the adults, families, and community partners who walk alongside us. At Stubbs, education is more than academics - it is about developing and strengthening relationships, fostering a love of learning, and building strong foundations for the future.

Together with our staff and partners, we are proud to provide a range of services that support both children and adults. This holistic approach allows us to create a network of care, ensuring every learner has the tools and encouragement they need to thrive. Our systems of support ensure that each child receives the personalized attention they need, with a focus on both academic success and social-emotional well-being. We also embrace our on-site partnerships with community programs, including but not limited to: Children & Families First, Dual Generation Center, Parents as Teachers of New Castle County, Nemours School-Based Health Center, Adult Basic Education (ABE) program, and Wilmington Early Care and Education Council (WECEC). Each of these partnerships at Stubbs EEC offers comprehensive resources and support for students and families to grow and succeed.

Additionally, we are proud to share a collaboration with the Wilmington Learning Collaborative (WLC). The WLC is a voluntary network of schools in Wilmington across multiple school districts. The WLC's goal is to improve outcomes for students by empowering educators, school leaders, and communities.

Our guiding belief for the 2025-2026 school year, "Lead with HEART - Learn with LOVE" reflects the spirit of our school. Leading with heart means showing empathy, compassion, and commitment in all that we do. Learning with love reminds us that joy, curiosity, and connection are at the center of meaningful growth.
