District Volunteer Policy
It is a district policy that all volunteers be cleared before volunteering for any school event. If you are thinking you might volunteer with us one day which includes assisting with your child’s class, assisting with any grade/class, chaperoning an field trip or activity and/or mentoring, please take a moment to fill out our School Volunteer Enrollment Form. This form authorizes our school to do a background scan of those wishing to spend extended time with our students and staff members. Please understand this process is for the safety and protection of all students while on school grounds. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact Ms. Aikens in the front office. We look forward to forging a strong partnership with you this year.Family and friends are always welcome at Leasure School!
We do require, for security reasons, that you stop by our main office and obtain a visitor’s pass each time you are here. You can sign in on the computer in the office, and it will automatically print you a badge you can wear while you are visiting. We appreciate your cooperation with this greatly.Do you need to pick up your child early from school?
Please send a note with him / her that morning so the teacher can have them ready when you arrive. You should always report to the main office and have your child called down from there. Please know that under no circumstances can students be released without notification from the office. This is another way to help keep our students safe in school. If you need to pick up your child at the end of the day instead of having them take the bus, please send in a note with them so the teacher knows not to put them on the bus. You can pick your child up in the cafeteria at our regular dismissal time.Is your child going to be absent from school?
When your child is absent from school, it is important that they bring a note with them on the day they return. Any absence that does not have a note will be listed as an unexcused absence on your child’s attendance record, so it’s very important to remember to do this.Right to Know
As a parent/guardian of a student you have the right to know what are the qualifications of the person(s) who is teaching your child.
