Board of Education Overview

  • School Board members are the elected 'governors' of the school district, serving four-year terms. The Christina School District Board of Education is the governing body of the District. It establishes policies which are carried out by the administration and the staff of the District. There is a definite line between governing the District and managing its daily activities. Boards are ultimately responsible. However, they employ a professional staff of administrators, led by a superintendent, to manage day-to-day functions.
