Meighan began working as a kindergarten teacher at Brader Elementary School in 2009. She has served as the kindergarten team leader and a member of the math committee for the past 7 years.  Meighan sees herself as a lifelong learner and through her participation with Delaware Teacher's Institute, she wrote a curriculum unit on creative non-fiction writing that was published by Yale University.
