When Kate Bartkowski was three years old, Santa brought her a large chalkboard.  This was the beginning of her dream of becomng a teacher.  A teacher for 17 years, Katie can't believe she actually gets paid to live her dream and create lifelong learners.  At Oberle Elementary School, she wants her students to be excited about coming to school, engaged purposeully in their learning, and aware of their potential  One of her favorite things about Oberle is the opportunity to grow young leaders through the school's Leader in Me program.
