Cathy McGuire-Groft doesn't just represent the best of what we should be as educations.  She is someone who steps outside of the classroom to support and improve beyond those walls and out into the community.  Cathy shows extreme dedication, creativity, a love and compassion for her students, and in all of her endeavors, a vision of what can be.  In addition to teaching at Marshall Elementary School, Cathy makes time to mentor students in need.  As one of her recent mentee says, "She lets me tell her my stories from my weekend.  She always listens to me  She can always cheer me up if I am sad.  She is always jolly!"
