Summer Meal Program Update

Starting June 28, summer meal lunch hours will change to 12:15-12:45 PM. For more information, please visit www.christinak12.org/schoolmeals. -
Summer Meal Program to Begin June 28
June 3, 2022
Christina School District's Summer Cafeteria Crew will be participating in the 2022 Summer Food Service Program, which will be offered at eight Christina schools during the summer months and will be available Monday through Thursday at select sites.
All children 18 years of age and under are eligible to receive NO COST breakfast and lunch. No need to apply for the program - just bring yourself and enjoy tasty and nutritious meals.

Supply Chain Shortages Impact School Meals

Due to national shortages, supply chain issues may begin to impact school menus, resulting in a decrease in a variety or repeated meals and may cause last-minute changes to Christina School District school menus. -
Food Allergies
For students returning for in-person instruction who have food allergies, it is extremely important that you notify your school nurse and provide necessary documentation before their return to school. If you have any questions about what you need to provide, please contact your school nurse as soon as possible.

About Child Nutrition Services
Child Nutrition Services (CNS) of the Christina School District is committed to providing well-balanced meals that contribute to the health and well-being of our students. We believe nutrition influences a student's development, lifelong health status, and potential for learning. CNS provides breakfast and lunch in all K-12 buildings in the Christina School District.The program is managed in accordance with the National School Lunch Act, policies established by the Christina School District Board of Education, the Department of Health, and the Delaware Department of Education. Part of the program is the approval of meal benefit forms for free and reduced-price school meals.
