      Objective 1: Enhance family engagement

      Our first priority is to the families of students we serve. As we strive to be communicative, connected, thoughtful, empathetic and planful toward our families, they will think of us as true partners in the development of their youth.


      1. Foster open communication between school and families and caregivers
      2. Empower families and students to engage with our school community through participation, volunteering and site based decision making.
      3. Increase parent, student and community voice on school and district committees and workgroups.

      Objective 2: Increase community partnership

      We are a part of the fabric of our communities. As we stand, coordinate, and collaborate with like-minded social, political, religious, and business partners, we will be a positive force for development and support for all.


      1. Create new partnerships between the Christina School District businesses and community agencies to increase access to community resources and expand learning opportunities for students, families and staff.
      2. Strengthen existing community and agency partnerships by building bridges and connecting resources for our students, families and staff.

      Objective 3: Ensure trust and confidence of the community through strong relationships and positive interactions

      We believe that deep relationships and our own effectiveness will inspire confidence in others. Strong relationships are built on multiple positive words and deeds. We strive to deliberately build trust and joy into every interaction.


      1. Enhance internal and external communication with all stakeholders to build a sense of trust, ownership and community across our district.
      2. Coordinate and communicate school efforts with local legislators and community based organizations for coherent messaging.
      3. Ensure a CSD presence at community events and celebrations.
      4. Create district newsletter to share accomplishments and distinction of CSD students and staff.

      Objective 4: Ensure infrastructure promotes confidence and pride in the district

      Our physical buildings are not just functional structures to carry out schooling, but are visual symbols of our role in the community. We strive that each facility can be functional, safe, healthy, beautiful, and representative of our rich communities.


      1. Ensure all students are cyber-safe when utilizing school devices.
      2. Ensure regular maintenance for outside spaces on all school and building grounds.
      3. Share regular updates of Facilities Strategic Plan for the community, families and staff.

      Objective 5: Ensure trust in leadership and management of the district

      We know that a key component of community pride and connection is how people feel toward the leadership, guidance, administration, and management of the district. Our district and school leadership teams strive to carry out their work in excellence, and demonstrate dependability, communication, responsiveness, and empathy toward all.


      1. Share regular updates of actions and key indicators of our district strategic plan.
      2. Ensure transparency and fiscal responsibility by maintaining a Citizens Budget Oversight Committee
      3. Increase opportunities for intentional collaboration for district leadership with students, families and the community through shared leadership and collective impact.
