High School Advanced Academic Programs

  • Christiana High School

    The Honors/ Dual Enrollment Academy at Christiana High School provides a framework for students to pursue advanced course offerings while also providing each individual with a comprehensive university transcript when applying for competitive college admissions and scholarships. Students have the opportunity to earn university credits* during high school, creating a seamless transition from high school to college, potentially saving up to one year of college tuition costs. (*Dual Enrollment opportunities have been created for most Career Pathways. These dual enrollment opportunities allow students to earn university credits in their Career Pathway to further their knowledge and understanding of the concepts.)


    Glasgow High School

    Through a partnership with Wilmington University, Glasgow High School will offer dual enrollment courses. Students earn high school credit, as well as college credit for each successfully completed course.


    Newark High School

    The Advanced Academic Program at Newark High School involves honors and Advanced Placement courses that allows the student the ability to earn the AP Capstone Diploma™. Students who complete the two-year program can earn one of two different AP Capstone awards, which are valued by colleges across the United States and around the world. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing receive the AP Capstone Diploma™. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research but not on four additional AP Exams receive the AP Seminar and Research Certificate™.
